There is little to no prep so lets start painting!

    • No prep sanding required
    • Wash the pieces with warm soapy water.
    • Apply one very light coat of paint.  This is your base coat and not your coverage coat so you will see wood through the paint.  Paint in the direction of the grain. Make sure the paint does not puddle on the edges.
    • Dry time varies but usually the piece is dry in approx 15 min
    • Apply a second coat.  This is your coverage coat but do not overload your brush.  The biggest mistake you can make is use too much paint!  Stand back and admire your newly painted furniture!

    • Let your painted furniture piece dry for 24-48 hours
    • Take 220 grit sandpaper and gently sand with the grain, using a soft cloth to wipe dust away.  Note that this does change the color slightly.
    • If you want some distressing, press slightly harder.
    • We only recommend top coats or wax on pieces for the following reasons:
      • Polyurethane on table tops for additional coverage
      • Wax only to provide accent
